The IT world is changing fast. To grow in this field, it’s important to learn new tools and technologies. I recently completed the Microsoft PL-900 (Power Platform Fundamentals) certification, and it taught me many useful things. In this blog, I want to share what I learned and how I’m using this knowledge at Aditi IT Software Solutions.

What is PL-900?
PL-900 is a beginner-level certification from Microsoft. It gives an introduction to a set of tools called the Power Platform, which includes:
- Power Apps – to build apps without writing a lot of code
- Power Automate – to automate daily tasks (like sending emails, updates, etc.)
- Power BI – to understand and visualize data.
- Power Virtual Agents – to create chatbots without coding.
These tools are called low-code / no-code tools, meaning anyone can use them – even if you’re not a developer.
How I Prepared
I studied using Microsoft Learn and some YouTube tutorials. I tried out real examples and built small apps and flows by myself. It was fun to learn something new and practical. I also felt more confident in my skills.
How I’m Using It at Aditi IT Software Solutions
At Aditi IT Software Solutions, we work with clients who need fast and efficient solutions. After completing my certification:
I built a small Power App to help track our internal project updates
I used Power Automate to send automatic emails and reminders
I started giving new ideas to our team on how we can save time using Power Platform tools
This knowledge has helped me improve my work and support my team better.
What’s Next?
Now that I’ve completed PL-900, I’m planning to study for the PL-300 (Power BI Data Analyst Associate) and PL-200 (Functional Consultant) certifications. I love learning, and I’m happy to be in a company like Aditi that supports growth and learning.
Final Thoughts
PL-900 is not just a certificate – it’s a way to look at problems differently and solve them in smarter ways. It has helped me learn new skills and become more valuable at work. If you want to start your journey with Microsoft Power Platform, PL-900 is a great place to begin.
